BBR Supplement Series

The Bulletin for Biblical Research Supplement Series publishes monographs and focused collections in exegesis, philology, linguistics, composition history, archaeology, and related fields that engage significant scholarly questions and advance our understanding of the biblical text. In the spirit of the Institute for Biblical Research, the series is committed to publishing academically rigorous and critically engaged scholarship attentive to the historical, social, and theological dimensions of Scripture.

Instructions for Submitting Manuscripts

If you would like the series to consider your manuscript for publication, submit your curriculum vitae and your proposal to Daniel Waterman (Acquisitions Editor for Eisenbrauns), Dr. Benjamin Noonan (Editor of the BBR Supplement Series), and Dr. John Harvey (Associate Editor of the BBR Supplement Series). Your proposal must contain all the elements described in Eisenbrauns’s Guidelines for Author Proposals, including the title, a brief description of the book, a chapter-by-chapter outline, and a summary of the manuscript’s competitive market and contribution to the field.

Upon receiving your proposal, we will acknowledge receipt and perform an initial internal review to determine if your manuscript is a likely fit for the series. If so, we will contact you to discuss possible next steps in the review process. To be accepted for publication, all manuscripts must receive supportive peer reviews from two qualified scholars in the discipline and be approved for publication by both the series editors and the Eisenbrauns Editorial Board.
