Revelation and Apocalyptic Literature

  Sponsors: Garrett Best ([email protected])

In recent years, scholarship on Revelation has seen a proliferation of historical-critical and ideological approaches. This year, the Revelation and Apocalyptic Literature Section seeks to prioritize readings of the theological themes of the text, providing insights into Revelation’s implications for Christian belief, worship, and life. We invite papers that explore different theological themes implicit in the text, including but not limited to its relevance to theology proper, Christology, pneumatology, soteriology, ecclesiology, eschatology, ecology, canonicity, and theodicy. Questions and proposals can be submitted to [email protected]. Proposals are due by February 28, 2025.
